Founded in 2024, The Exchange deals in dialectic rather than monetary exchange. We consider questions such as the following: Do economic systems determine political systems or vice versa? Will AI usher in mass unemployment or will we preserve, even expand, job markets? Should the government mandate a secular “Sabbath” day for citizens to concentrate on non-material goods, or would this be total government overreach?
We affirm institutional neutrality on partisan subjects, but we recognize the vital importance of dialectics as the means to truth. Our journal seeks to explore dynamics, trendlines, and concrete viewpoints across politics, economics, and ethics. We base our argumentation in the desire to preserve and embolden our immediate Dartmouth community and our republic at large.
